QR CREAM™’s active ingredient
Dr. Bertrand conducted a double blind, placebo controlled, study to test the effectiveness of QR CREAM™ in relieving nerve pain. The probability that QR CREAM™ with mannitol had the same effect as the cream base (placebo) was less than 1/1000.
The study showed that mannitol, QR CREAM™’s active ingredient, was highly effective in blocking the pain signal sent by nerves to the brain by capsaicin (hot pepper juice). This study was published in the Journal PM&R (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) in November 2015 “Topical Mannitol Reduces Capsaicin-Induced Pain: Results of a Pilot-Level, Double-Blind, Randomized Controlled Trial”
A second study tested QR CREAM™ on 20 patients who were suffering from pain after shingles and found that QR CREAM provided pain relief for 16 of these patients. The results of this study were published as a thesis submitted to the University of Groningen on April 30, 2017 © by Tess Elaine Helen Debelle: “Mannitol (30%) Cream in the Treatment of Post-Herpetic Neuralgia; A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Crossover Pilot Study”.
